We're currently at the Hearthstone Championship Tour (HCT) World Championship event in Amsterdam, and since we've recapped Days 1 and 2 (which you can find here for Day 1 and here for Day 2), we've got another round-up filling you in on the action for the third day, in which the competitors were whittled down to the final four heading into the last day of the action.

In Group A Orange and tom60229 faced off to decide who would be joining Docpwn in the final 8, but it was to be Taiwan's tom60229 who sealed himself the coveted place, sending Orange out of the competition alongside his friend Hoej. Elsewhere in Group B Muzzy was also fighting for his spot in the competition, but a loss against JasonZhou meant he faced the same fate as Orange. ShtanUdachi clinched his spot in the final 8 as well with a 3-0 sweep over Purple, and rounding off the lineup from Group D was top finisher Surrender and Fr0zen, the latter of which claimed a very tense win over OmegaZero.

With the top 8 decided, we were then treated to a tense back-and-forth between JasonZhou and Docpwn, both of which put up a great fight, but eventually the match swung in JasonZhou's favour after coming back from a 2-1 deficit. SamuelTsao, who finished top of Group B, then faced Group A's second place tom60229, but tom carried his great form from earlier to secure his place in the top four, as did Fr0zen when he eliminated Sintolol in a close 3-2 battle. The final match of the day saw ShtanUdachi face Surrender, but in the only quarter final match where a first-place group finisher won, Surrender entertained the crowd with a 3-1 win.

Only four competitors are left now, and with $250,000 USD at stake for the first place winner, along with the coveted trophy, the stakes are higher than ever. Did you expect these four finalists?
