Docpwn: 'I kind of got lucky that tom won against Orange'

We talked with the Hearthstone player about his World Championship so far.

It's safe to say that Docpwn had a successful opening day in the Hearthstone Championship Tour (HCT) World Championship in Amsterdam (as you can read in our Day 1 recap), and we caught up with him at the event to talk about a number of things,

"First day went very well. Not as expected, because I was unfavoured against Hoej - he's a great player and he had a better lineup than I did, so when I practiced against that lineup I wasn't doing too well, and so just winning that first series was really big. And then I kind of got lucky that tom[60229] won against Orange, because my lineup was doing very well against tom - well, favoured - and so I didn't have to play against Orange, right, so I really needed to win against tom to not get into the decider match and face either Hoej or Orange again."

We also asked about pressure at big events, to which he said: "Pressure on stage - it's always there, it's always gonna be I think for everybody. I mean, of course it's a lot of stress, but you need to take it positively, right. It's a nice thing to be on the stage playing in front of thousands of people, and just doing what you like to do. I like Hearthstone, I'm on the stage playing for World Championship title."

How far do you think Docpwn can go in the competition?
