The Czech Republic won the HGG Grand Finals at Gamescom

They edged out the USA in the final match.

The Hearthstone Global Games Grand Finals took place at Gamescom this past week, and it was the team from the Czech Republic who lifted the trophy, solidifying themelves as the world champions in the process.

The top four countries included the Czech Republic as well as the USA, Ukraine, and South Korea, and there was plenty on the line at Gamescom in Cologne, including a cool $60,000 USD for the winners.

The semi-final saw Ukraine defeat South Korea to progress, while the Czech Republic beat the USA in theirs to win themselves a place in the final. The team, comprised of StanCifka, pokrovak, CzechCloud, and JáraVyskočil, then won 4-2 to seal the title.
